I'm Sally Haughey. I've been training early childhood educators for over 20 years. I've stood in front of 7am Friday PD rooms and held Zoom grids of 200 people for 90 minutes straight.

I thought I knew what I was doing.

Then, about two years ago, something shifted. The rooms felt different. Participants were present but not quite... there. I was delivering the same content I always had - content I believed in - and it just wasn't landing the way it used to.

I want to be honest with you: that was a hard thing to sit with. I'd built my identity around being someone who could hold a room. And quietly, I started to wonder if I still could.So instead of pushing through and pretending nothing had changed, I did something that felt both scary and necessary.I went back to study.

For the past 24 months, I have immersed myself in the neuroscience of adult learning, the psychology of attention, and the craft of presenting to people whose brains are being pulled in seventeen directions at once. I read the research. I tested ideas in my own sessions. I broke things and rebuilt them. I had revelations that made me want to call every educator I'd ever trained and say: I need to show you this.

The world had changed. Attention had changed. And I needed to change with it - not just perform the old version of myself a little louder.

Here's what surprised me most: it wasn't that my old content was wrong. It was that I hadn't understood the delivery side deeply enough. The neuroscience side. The part that decides, in the first seven minutes, whether a participant's brain is going to stay or quietly check out.Once I understood that — really understood it — everything changed.

I am currently retiring many of my older courses and rebuilding them from the ground up, using what I now know. This certification program is built on that new foundation. Is this training “live”? What if I am in a different time zone?

This course is self-paced and pre-recorded. It is a brand new course that is under production. Here's the schedule release: Module 1 is instantly available upon purchase. Module 2 and 3 will be released Sunday, 12/8, Module 4, 5 and 6, 12/15.

Will I receive a PD Certificate for completing this course?

Yes, upon completion, you will be able to request a 2-hour Professional Development (PD) Certificate. Since each region is a little bit different with what they accept for PD training hours and because we are serving a global community, we encourage all participants to check directly with their province/state/territory/board to confirm if our program meets their standards.

Is this course similar to the Relationships and Guiding Children’s Behavior Certification course?
